The course focuses on the cultural, social and political topics of Ballet, Modern/Postmodern, Jazz, Tap and Musical theater. With a strong underpinning of how cultural diasporas have influenced and shaped concert dance forms. Through readings, lectures, discussions, and extensive viewing of film/video and live performance, students come to understand the rich lineage of these dance forms.Usually HeldWed 4:00pm–6:50pm
