- This course is a comprehensive overview of basic medical terminology which provides the opportunity for the student to develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding of medical terminology. This includes basic word elements, word analysis, word building and spelling. Medical terms are identified as they relate to symptoms, pathologic conditions, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic procedures.
