- This course examines the history of women in America from the pre-colonial period to the present. Emphasis is on the social, economic, political, and multicultural facets of women's history in the United States and includes both the commonalities and diversities of women's roles, the use of gender as an analytic category, and the specific significance of women in the evolution of United States history.
