Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is a comprehensive study of the mechanical systems, machining, and the essential mechanical processes used to produce, process, and distribute energy. Topics include the operation and selection for application of mechanical drives, mechanical fasteners, shafts, bearings, lubrication systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, materials, tanks and vessels, welding strategy, basic controls schemes, and how to establish a preventative maintenance program. Troubleshooting, problem solving, and decision-making tools and skills are presented. Safety, measurement, hand tool operations, and preventative maintenance protocols are examined.
