    No Credit. Lecture 54 hours. Provides students with a basic overview of the role of a behavioral health aide and prepares them for entry-level employment in a behavioral or mental health care setting. Defines behavioral and mental health diseases, their causes, signs and symptoms, and prognosis. Trains students to assist adults, adolescents, and pediatric patients with social, personal, behavioral, and mental health issues. Introduces strategies for working with individuals with mental and behavioral health challenges while providing nursing care and physical safety.
