    No Credit. Lecture 72 hours. Provides students with a fundamental knowledge of how medical terms are constructed, pronounced, and spelled from word parts (prefixes, word roots, combining forms, and suffixes). Includes the use of prefixes and suffixes in medical terminology using an anatomy and systems approach. Introduces terminology related to diseases, laboratory tests, imaging, surgical and treatment procedures, and basic terms related to specialized areas of medicine. [ND]
