    No credit. Provides an overview of the food service industry, the career pathways, and required educational preparation. Introduces basic food safety principles and methods, and the regulatory standards and measures for prevention of food-borne diseases. Emphasizes information and practices associated with entry-level employment in the food service industry. Prepares students to test for the County of San Diego Food Handlers' certification.
