    This course is a historical survey of the United States from the end of the Civil War to the present. The course also introduces students to historical reasoning skills. In addition, at Southwestern College this course emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach. Includes a comparative study of the Constitutions of the U.S. and California, and the on-going interactions between federal, state, and local governments within the federal context.
