    Provides information, skills, and techniques designed to assist in avoiding fatal errors on the fireground. Teaches students how to avoid situations that could cause them to become lost, trapped, or injured at a fire scene. Includes firefighter survival terminology, survival attitude, situational awareness, and problem-solving techniques intended to provide self-reliance in an emergency. Course instruction includes the use of case studies to analyze common factors in line-of-duty deaths (LODDs). [D; CSU]
