    Provides advanced instruction in the operation and maintenance of fire service equipment according to the CA State Fire Training Firefighter I Skills requirement standard. Includes topics such as search and rescue, simulated fire attack, wildland review and hazardous materials skills using appropriate protective equipment. Designed at an advanced level to facilitate students' qualification for the manipulative training portion of Firefighter I as specified by the California Fire Service Training and Education Division of the State Fire Marshal's Office. Intended for students majoring in the field of fire technology or those interested in a career in the fire service. [D; CSU]
