- Assists English as a Second Language students who wish to improve their intelligibility and aural comprehension in the English language. Emphasizes the stress, rhythm, and intonation of English, the sounds of the vowels and consonants in English, and how to use phonetic symbols to interpret those sounds. Presents strategies for self-monitoring and individual study will also be presented. [ND]
