- Uses the nursing process in planning care for patients with mental health disorders, identifies resources and ways of coping to plan nursing interventions. Examines the nurse's therapeutic role in maintaining and enhancing mental health, and to meet the needs of persons with emotional and/or cognitive abilities that impair day-to-day functioning.
