- General Education: SCC: Area 3; Cal-GETC: Area 3A The study of the history of theatre from the 17th Century to contemporary times. The history and development of theatre and drama are studied in relationship to cultural, political and social conditions of the time. Plays are read for analysis of structure, plot, character and historical relevance. Contemporary multicultural theatre will be emphasized.
