    Description
    years of high school Spanish with a minimum grade of C General Education: SCC: Area 3; Cal-GETC: Area 3B, Language other than English (LOTE) A continuation of SPAN 001 and 002, this course focuses on language acquisition through listening, speaking, reading and writing. It also explores various cultures of the Spanish-speaking world and promotes growth in cultural responsiveness while encouraging intermediate-level linguistic proficiency. The Spanish (Castilian) language has been a key instrument of imperialism. We will explore accompanying issues of power as they relate to race, ethnicity, class, gender, and language. This course will be taught in Spanish.
