    Description
    General Education: SCC: Area 4; Cal-GETC: Area 4 An overview of psychological disorders surveying selected disorders in the current version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM), including mood disorders (such as depression, bi-polar disorder), anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders (such as schizophrenia), personality disorders, eating disorders and others. The course discusses historical and scientific approaches to explain and to treat these disorders from bio-psycho-social perspectives.
