    A continued application of the concepts of nursing practice presented in the NURS 071 and NURS 072 series of courses and focuses on additional concepts for safe, humanistic, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population focusing on wellness of chronic conditions of patients requiring medical/surgical interventions. Application of knowledge and skills occurs in a variety of clinical settings with an emphasis on expanding the student's ability to focus on the legal and ethical responsibilities of the nurse, caring, critical thinking/clinical reasoning, the nursing process, quality improvement, communication, teamwork/collaboration, and evidence-based nursing practice. Internet and PC computer access with chrome web browser required in order to utilizes online NCLEX test preparation software, skills videos and to complete course materials utilizing word, excel and PDF documents.
