Transfers ToCSUDescriptionA continued application of the concepts of nursing practice presented in the NURS 071 and NURS 072 series of courses and focuses on additional concepts for safe, humanistic, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population focusing on wellness of chronic conditions of patients requiring medical/surgical interventions. Application of knowledge and skills occurs in a variety of clinical settings with an emphasis on expanding the student's ability to focus on the legal and ethical responsibilities of the nurse, caring, critical thinking/clinical reasoning, the nursing process, quality improvement, communication, teamwork/collaboration, and evidence-based nursing practice.
