NURS - Nursing NURS 071D Nursing Dosage Calculations 2.0 Unit Instruction in mathematical calculations providing the proficiency necessary for safe clinical practice. Medication therapies and dosage calculations for all routes of administration including oral, rectal, subcutaneous, parenteral, intravenous flow rates and infusion times, weight-based calculations and critical care infusions will be covered in addition to clinical reasoning demonstrated by interpretation of physician orders and reading medication labels. NURS 071S Nursing Skills Lab I 1.0 Unit A presentation of the beginning psychomotor skills used in nursing practice for safe, patient care to a diverse patient population. The student will learn and practice the beginning psychomotor skills in preparation for application in the clinical setting. As the skills are learned, students will incorporate the concepts of communication, teamwork/ collaboration, evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, clinical judgement and the nursing process.
