    Presents the principles and techniques of fundamental guitar performance. The course stresses first position techniques, note reading, scales, fingerboard knowledge, chord positions, picking and strum techniques, and performance of selected musical literature appropriate to the beginning level. NOTE: Combined enrollments in MUSC 038, 039 and 062 may not exceed 4 units.
