- General Education: SCC: Area 3; Cal-GETC: Area 3A A survey of jazz music, using an historical approach. Includes listening to and analyzing examples of jazz music in relation to the social, technical and historical trends. Attention will be paid to issues of racism, representation, and the power structures that exist in both past and current practices of music.
