    Description
    This course is a study of chromatic harmony and 20th century harmonic practices. It includes a more in-depth study of altered chords and late 19th- and 20th-century writing techniques including: 9th, 11th and 13th chords; altered dominants; chromatic harmony; dodecaphony; set theory; aleatory; minimalism; and analysis techniques. It includes practice in rhythmic, melodic, harmonic and contrapuntal sight-singing, ear-training and dictation.
