    Description
    An exploration of the elements of the total rewards package including compensation, benefits programs, retirement planning, and how they support organizational competitiveness. Students will learn the impact of compensation and benefits packages on an organization’s bottom line while ensuring fair and equitable pay rates for employees. Topics include building and communicating an equitable compensation strategy, compensation fundamentals, the conduct and documentation of job analysis, linking pay to performance, employee motivation, and performance appraisal. Strategies such as incentive cash and/or stock compensation programs, employee ownership, benefits, and nonmonetary rewards are discussed and evaluated. The interrelationships among compensation, motivation, performance appraisal, and performance within the organization are examined.
