    Description
    General Education: SCC: Area 3; Cal-GETC: Area 3B A study of major works in poetry, prose, and drama from approximately 1798 to the present. The course focuses on the Romantic Movement, the Victorian Age, early 20th Century, modernism, postwar literature, post-colonial literature, and late 20th Century post-modernism. It examines the shifting relationship between literature and its historical and cultural contexts. It introduces students to questions of canon formation and the use of critical theory in the analysis of literature.
