    Description
    General Education: SCC: Area 3; Cal-GETC: Area 3B Introduction to the history and development of queer literature, from early explortions of queer idetity in 19th Century British and American literature to the emergence of a distinct queer literary tradition, after Stonewall and the gay liberation movements of the 1970's through the present. Students will analyze texts from a range of genres--novels, plays, film, poetry, graphic novels, etc.-- reflecting the varied cultural, racial, ethnic experiences that comprise queer identity.
