    Description
    General Education: SCC: Area 1B, Area 3; Cal-GETC: Area 1B The development of critical thinking, reading, and writing skills as they apply to the analysis of fiction, poetry and drama, literary criticism, and related non-fiction from diverse cultural sources and perspectives. Emphasis is on the techniques and principles of effective written argument as they apply to literature. Essay examinations, critical papers, and some research projects are required.
