- General Education: SCC: Area 5; Cal-GETC: Area 5B An introduction to general biology with emphasis on the human model. Topics include cell structure and function, human evolution, anatomy and physiology, genetics, and the human impact on the environment. Recommended course for students planning to take Human Anatomy. Not advised for students who have completed BIO 004 and/or BIO 005.
