    Description
    General Education: Local District Requirement � Health, Lifelong Learning & Self Development Off-season preparation for student athletes to maintain personal health and well-being (both physical and mental), including engaging in self-reflection to facilitate personal insight and their responsibility to themselves and their team. This course includes theory, analysis and execution of offensive and defensive strategies, training for mental and physical skill acquisition, fitness, strength, and flexibility while minimizing injury potential. If eligible, student athletes will have an opportunity for non-traditional competition. Competition eligibility information may be obtained from the instructor. Students may enroll in this course up to 4 times for credit. ATHL 003B 0.5 Unit Softball - Women's Intercollegiate Pre-Season (Spring) General Education: Local District Requirement � Health, Lifelong Learning & Self Development The development and enhancement of physical and mental performance and maintenance level required for the intercollegiate student/athlete in preparation for the start of the collegiate season of competition. The course will focus on fitness/conditioning as well as sport specific strategies and movements. Competition eligibility information may be obtained from the instructor. Students may enroll in this course up to 4 times for credit. This course is open to all students who wish to try out for competition at the intercollegiate level, with the approval of the instructor.
