    Description
    General Education: SCC: Area 3; Cal-GETC: Area 3A Survey of the art and architecture of Africa, Oceania, and the ancient and Indigenous Americas, examining how artists and their works reflect and respond to their cultural and physical environment; how the work reflects interactions with other cultures; and how the artists address the impact of colonialism. The course will also address issues related to the scholarship and display of African, Oceanic, and ancient and Indigenous arts in the Western art world. This course and ARTH 021: Asian Art are typically offered in alternating Spring semesters. (Formerly ART 003B)
