Transfers ToCSUDescriptionA movable feast. In this course students will visit artists, gallery owners, museum curators and art administrators on site, at their studios, galleries museums and offices. This will be a forum for students to hear first hand from artists, arts scholars and other art professionals discussing and contextualizing their work within the contemporary art field. Includes multiple lecturers by visitors and additional class lectures providing further context. Exposure to contemporary art directions, trends and job markets. This course requires extensive field trips to destinations in the greater Sacramento and Bay Area.
