Transfers ToCSUDescriptionScreen printing techniques from paper stencils to photographic and digital processes. Students will develop a portfolio of prints that emphasizes the exploration of personal content while employing advanced screen techniques and related digital processes. The course will consist of studio production, lectures on contemporary and historical screen printing, demonstrations and critiques. Attention will be paid to issues of racism, representation, and the power structures that exist in both past and current practices of printmaking. Field trip may be required.
