    Description
    Etching is a diverse process, offering a unique set of tools and marks with which to experiment and communicate. Line etching and engraving focuses on creating intaglio prints from both plastic and copper plates. Basic techniques including: dry point, hard ground line etching, plate preparation, and printing. Attention will be paid to issues of racism, representation, and the power structures that exist in both past and current practices of printmaking. Field trip may be required.
