Transfers ToCSUDescriptionUnderstand how to use color to influence the visual experience. Learn to think about color as it relates to other important aspects of Art and Design, including form (the shape of objects we see) and composition (the position of those objects to one another.) Studying color, form and composition will give an introduction to the thinking used in good design. Students produce a portfolio of color exercises that will support graphic design and fine art practices. Attention will be paid to issues of racism, representation, and the power structures that exist in both past and current practices of art and design.
