    Description
    General Education: SCC: Area 4, Local District Requirement - Cross- Culutral Studies; Cal-GETC: Area 4 An introduction to the anthropological study of human culture; covering anthropological concepts such fieldwork, holism, the comparative method, cultural relativism, the nature of culture and cultural identity, and research ethics. Topics will include: subsistence patterns, political organizations including social inequality, kinship and family, communication, supernatural belief systems, gender and sexuality, art, culture change including globalization, and applied anthropology.
