    An introduction to the diverse field of Sociology and its key theories and methods. Adapts a “constructivist” approach to thinking about social facts, and will examine the crucial importance of institutions in mediating the relations between the individual and the larger society from various angles. Encourages students to gain curiosity toward social processes they encounter everyday, and sociological analyses of current social issues.
