Emphasis placed on neonatal and pediatric: Anatomy, cardiopulmonary disease, pathophysiology, high risk procedures, transport, inter-professional collaboration and communication, professionalism, evidence-based medicine, quality assurance and the advanced therapeutic needs of children. Students will demonstrate competence in assessment skills, formulation of patient care plans and application of specific respiratory care modalities for neonatal and pediatric patients.
