Students will explore foundational theories such as double consciousness, Black feminist thought, and African worldviews, while analyzing concepts like race, racism, white supremacy, self-determination, and decolonization. The course emphasizes the struggles for liberation, equity, and community affirmation in Black communities, and explores how resistance, social justice, and political movements have shaped the Black experience.
