    Description
    Survey of English literature from the Anglo-Saxon period through the mid 18th century. Study of selected major authors and texts of each period as well as significant or representative minor authors and texts. Incorporates analysis of the development of literary forms, developments and transformations of central themes, and developments in the historical, socioeconomic, and cultural contexts of the literature.
