SPAN 4 (along with SPAN 3) comprises a compact, detailed review of first-year material as well as new vocabulary and expansion of first-year principles, development of more advanced communication and composition skills, and a more comprehensive overview of verb tenses and structures. This course offers extensive conversational exercises with stress on correct pronunciation. The course also includes further discussion of Spanish and Latin American literature and of the arts in general, particularly as they relate to the culture of Spanish-speaking countries. This course may be offered in a distance education format. (CSU/UC transferable)
