In this course, students expand previously learned clinical nursing concepts and skills to become increasingly independent. Students have assigned clients in a variety of clinical settings. For example, clinical rotations may include rehabilitation, critical care, mental health, and community health settings. The course also includes clinical simulation and a preceptorship. The emphasis of the course is on integration of theory and the nursing process into clinical application while providing students various opportunities to demonstrate critical thinking and advanced nursing skills.
