It covers methods for identifying individual needs and offers tools to measure and improve lifestyles, ultimately promoting higher levels of well-being. This course provides a personalized approach to assess and prescribe the necessary programs to improve the components of physical fitness and wellness. In addition to the health-related components of physical fitness (cardiovascular, muscular strength and endurance, muscular flexibility, body composition), topics covered include nutrition and weight control, cardiovascular risk reduction, stress management, drug and alcohol abuse, AIDS, and environmental health issues. This course further prepares enrollees to successfully pass certification testing conducted by the National Council on Strength and Fitness.
