    C-ID: HIST 160 This course offers a survey of the development of the major civilizations of the world from 1500 to the present. The focus is on the political, economic, social, intellectual, and religious forces in Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe from 1500 to the present day. This course offers multiple perspectives of the dynamic interaction of peoples and cultures that shaped this era of world history. This course may be offered in a distance education format. (CSU/UC transferable)
