Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is a review of fire behavior, equipment, and apparatus. Topics covered include basic wildland firefighting tactics and strategy, methods of attack, leadership, and Wildland/Urban Interface (WUI). This course meets or exceeds the minimum training requirements for Firefighter Type 1 under the California Incident Command Certification System (CICCS), Office of the State Fire Marshal - State Fire Training Fire Fighter 1B and 1C (FF1B - Hazardous Materials and FF1C - Wildland Firefighter), entry-level firefighter positions in the California Department of Forestry (CAL FIRE), and the United States Forest Service (USFS).
