- This laboratory course includes field techniques, experiments, and demonstrations covering the basic concepts of the lecture course BIOL 12. This laboratory course is designed to expose students to common biological field research methods, such as biological field sampling techniques including quadrants, transects, pitfall traps, light traps, and mist nets.
