Topics will include: tree biology, tree identification, plant health care, soils, nutrition, planting, worker safety, climbing, pruning, tree care tools, and safety equipment. This course prepares the student with the knowledge necessary to obtain a Certified Arborist designation through the International Society of Arboriculture. This course may be offered in a distance education format. (CSU transferable)
