Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionWith an emphasis on the clinical practice of acute care skills, this course is designed to train students for employment as nursing assistants in the acute care facility. Integrated throughout the course are essential employability skills for the healthcare industry. Content area skills focus on direct patient care of the acute and chronically ill patients. Safety practices in the acute care setting will be emphasized. Students will work with neonatal and postpartum care, elimination, surgery, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
