    Description
This introductory course provides students with foundational knowledge of process improvement, Lean thinking, and Six Sigma principles used across industries, including healthcare, transportation, logistics, service operations, and public and business administration. Students will learn to analyze workflows, identify waste, understand variation, and recognize opportunities for improvement using basic tools such as process maps, SIPOC, 5 Whys, and basic measurement concepts. The course prepares learners for entry-level process improvement roles and serves as the prerequisite for Lean/Yellow Belt and Green Belt certification courses. Field trips may be required.
