    Description
This course introduces students to the foundational tools and techniques of Lean and Yellow Belt-level Six Sigma. Students learn to identify waste, analyze workflows, use visual and process-control tools, apply problem-solving methods, and participate effectively on process-improvement teams. Emphasis is placed on real-world applications in the private and public sectors, including healthcare, transportation, logistics, and business services. Learners gain hands-on experience with Lean tools, process mapping, root-cause analysis, and basic control methods, preparing them to support and lead small-scale improvement initiatives. Field trips may be required.
