Transfers ToCSUDescriptionIntroduction to the performing arts domain of the California Preschool Learning Foundations and Frameworks including strands of music, drama, and dance. Provides practical strategies for implementing the curriculum frameworks developed for this domain. Explores musical expression through songs and ballads, the elements of music, and diverse types of instruments as used in the early childhood curriculum. Includes the study of musical growth and development in young children and the use of music as a classroom management tool. Applicable to required or professional development units for Child Development Permit holders, pre-school, transitional kindergarten, and early-primary teachers. Field trips and fieldwork assignments may be required. By the third week of the semester, verification of the state-mandated Tdap vaccination, MMR immunization, and negative TB test will be required.
