- The SRJC Jazz Combos are dedicated to the study, rehearsal, and performance of classic and contemporary works for small jazz ensemble. Students are divided into three combos of 4-8 musicians, each focusing on 4-5 jazz compositions. Students in 42C focus on developing their improvisatory fluency in the styles of Bop, Cool, and Hard Bop. The Jazz Combos give 3-5 public performances per semester.
