Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThe course prepares the student to serve as a fire officer by introducing them to the principles of the Incident Command System (ICS) associated with incident related performance. Topics include leadership and management, delegation of authority, the concept of Management-By-Objectives (MBO), functional areas and positions, briefings, organizational flexibility, transitions and transfer of command. The course is required for State Fire Training (SFT) Company Officer certification. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate from the State Board of Fire Services.
