    Description
    A study of the knowledge and skills required to be successful in the Firefighter I Academy including hose handling, knot tying, the use of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), use of fire department ground ladders and physical training. Students will also be introduced to the code of conduct required in a fire academy setting and background investigations used in the fire service hiring process.
